Science week in our Senior room!

The theme of science week this year for our senior room pupils was 'Then - Today - Now' .

We looked at Irish scientist from the past and the changes/discoveries they made. Pupils researched a chosen scientist in pairs  and presented their findings. Using the theme of Air we investigated through experiments.

Does air have force? Does air have weight and does temperature affect air and how? Pupils were asked to look at an invention through the lens of the past, present and future.

Finally pupils were given a STEM challenge of creating their own parachute using a choice of materials and style, again using all their knowledge of air and aerodynamics. 

They all done a fantastic job and had lots of dun deigning and creating their parachutes.

STEM Week - Windmills from our Junior Room

Some more brilliant work from our Junior room pupils. For stem week they constructed and designed windmills for stem week. Lots of work into decorating these and they turned out beautiful! Well done everyone
