We have enjoyed a very successful Active Schools Week. Every morning we began with Wake Up Shake Up led by sixth class pupils. This had us energized for the day ahead. We took part in a variety of activities throughout the week such as dance, circuits, yoga and parachute games. The week culminated in a whole school challenge where we ran a total of 45km around the school. Well done everyone, lets keep active!

Well done to all the scientists at Scoil San Eoin.

Scoil San Eoin have just been awarded a Science Foundation Ireland Discover Science and Maths Plaque of STEM Excellence for the 2017/18 academic year. This is a reflection of the excellent science, technology, engineering and maths work being carried out in the school. All the students have been working hard to achieve this since September. Well done to all, we await the arrival of our plaque in the coming weeks.

Guest Speaker - Mary Hickey's visit to Scoil San Eoin

RNLI.jpg

We had the honour of having a visit from the local legend Mary Hickey from Arklow on Friday 11th May. Mary has just completed a lap of Ireland running in aid of the RNLI and has raised well over €50,000 for the cause.

Age 65, she has been running for 50 years and has completed all 38 marathons.

The children got to speak to Mary and ask her questions all about her experience and travels as she ran around Ireland.

It was a great morning and a huge thanks to Mary for visiting Scoil San Eoin!

World Book Day - Monday 23.04.2018

World Book Day was a great success at Scoil San Eoin. The children and parents made a great effort in coming up with ideas and great costumes. The school was a great array of colours on the day. Well done to all students.

All names were put together to choose the winners of the 2 book vouchers for the Reading Challenge.

Cian Maher and Abigail Byrne were the winners and received a €15.00 book voucher each. Well done to them both and to everyone else that took part!
