Opening of the school year service

On Wednesday 9th Sept, we began our school year with an opening prayer service with the theme ‘Happiness’ led by Fr Murphy & Elaine from Avoca Parish.

Our pupils got to think of all the things that we are thankful for. Fr Michael blessed & lit a special candle for our school which was presented to our Principal Ms Greene at the end of the service.

Some of our pupils presented items that represented faith, learning, art, sport & nature during the service and completed prayers of the faithful and readings which were all done beautifully.

It was a very special service to celebrate the start of a new school year. Thank you to all the pupils who participated in the service and well done.
